DECO LLETAGE

from $3,000.00

Artist: JS Cornelius
Location: Los Angeles, California

A one-of-a-kind masterpiece. The 1938 Dubonnet Hispano-Suiza H6B Xenia. This futuristic-looking automobile was designed by inventor, racecar driver, and World War I fighter ace André Dubonnet. The heir to the Dubonnet drinks fortune commissioned coach builder Jacques Saoutchic to create an aviation-themed one-off using Hispano-Suiza chassis No. 103. The H6B Dubonnet Xenia began as André Dubonnet's personal car after it was finished in 1938, but, upon the breakout of WWII and the subsequent invasion of France, the Dubonnet Xenia was hidden. Not any more.

Art Deco. Modern. Classic. Smooth lines. A detail view of a classic automobile taken through the lens of artist JS Cornelius, engineer/photographer who captures images with museum era cameras – which he can take apart and reassemble as a soldier does his weapon. Made for metal. Black and white, sepia upon request. This image looks impressive on metal – and as a signed and numbered limited edition on canvas or paper.
